I'm Married!

September 3, 2016 was a day I will never forget! I married my soul mate. It was an absolute perfect day and dream come true!

I read a blog that said when you exit the church to make sure you look at each other instead of at your guests. I'm so glad we remembered to do that because it looks so romantic like this! I've seen friends pictures as they're exiting the church and they're looking away and it just doesn't look as good!

Our wedding party....what a great looking bunch! ;)

Walker and I LOVE to dance so our first dance was pretty special and definitely one people will remember!

I etched glasses for the groomsmen, bridesmaids and parents. This was a really nice personalized gift and pretty inexpensive! I used Armour Etch and used my Cricut to cut the names out. We bought the glasses at the dollar store. It helps to be crafty!! :)

Our venue was at Holiday Inn in Detroit Lakes, MN

I picked hydrangeas, for the ceremony and reception, the morning before our wedding. Looking back now that was a lot of work picking/arranging the flowers and if you are using them in your wedding I would recommend picking them 2 days before because they looked just as good the day after our wedding! I'm very thankful I had my mom, sister and bridesmaid helping me decorate the day before the wedding!

I ordered the lace table runners from an etsy shop. I ordered 100 yards and cut them to fit the tables. I had enough left over to decorate behind the head table backdrop, that really looked nice!

I found different gold vintage frames to showcase parents/grandparents wedding photos.

Bridesmaid Gifts

I painted my bridesmaid names on hangers, I found clutches at the dollar store and made fabric flowers to dress them up and I personalized the box that their jewelry came in! I was busy!!

I loved this idea of a Polaroid guestbook! I asked cousins of mine to help take pictures of our guests as they entered the church then they signed by their picture. This is so fun to look through. It's way better to look through a book of pictures than just reading a bunch of signatures on a page. 

I made a photo backdrop out of pvc pipe, ribbons and beads. This was so neat to have at the reception and way cheaper than a photo booth. I bought the props at Walmart in their party section.

I have now planned venue decorations for 2 weddings: my own and my sisters. I enjoy it so much that I'm considering doing it as a part time job! So if you need consult or help decorating your wedding please contact me!
